I'm really bad at beginning relationships with girls. Once I've already started talking to them, it's easy, but I have a really hard time breaking the ice.
There's a girl. I like her. She's cute, quirky, has a good outlook on life and similar values. She knows who I am and we talk, so I'm not a literal who or anything like that, but we're not especially close. How do I take that first step? What should I say to her? I think I ought to get to know her a little better before I just launch off with "Let's go on a date," but... Am I wrong? Is it better to just go for it?
I'm abundantly aware of the fact that asking for advice on the Floof is like sticking your dick in a cheese grater to check if it's still sharp, but I did it anyway
This is a serious question, but we'll see how many serious replies I get.
Hang out with her like you do with your friends. Talk to her differently, of course, but everything falls into play.

I hate your inability to start relationships too.

Try talking to her. Be friends with her. You can't be bf/gf right from the bat. Let her get to know you before making that kinda move. I would say the right time to ask her is out to a big school event. Ask her if she wants to come. But hey... This is advice coming from a guy with no bf so take it or leave it.

I can't help you. It's just kinda happens for me. I don't get nervous anymore. And I talk about the dumbest of things. And it works

Grill problems eh? Try cooking up a burger. See how it goes.
Just continue to chat with her and start going out and about town or whatever. That's what im doing. We used to chat sometimes. Now we chat nearly daily. And we go out to walk around town and whatnot every now and then. Just go on from there. That's where i'm at.
But really, you gotta keep those patties under control. And keep those buns fresh, too.
