Most Satisfying Feeling Ever Had in Destiny! (Destiny Year One Experience)

I finished my Triumphs! Listen, I know it is "just an emblem" but for me it was so much more than that. I started playing Destiny with the Alpha after getting the code for it from going to Playstation E3 Experience 2014, played the entire time of the Alpha and enjoyed the game, so much! Later I also got into the Beta for Destiny from pre-ordering the game, again played the entire time, played the moon missions, and got the emblems to show for it. When I first started playing Destiny it was because I enjoyed the game and I had 2 friends who were going to play with me. We all started together, we ran the entire story missions together, all the vanilla strikes together, and played crucible together. It was so much fun and once we reached LvL 20, we started the "grind together". Slowly at first and then all of a sudden, my 2 friends stopped playing the game, for various reasons. The main one being that we didn't have anyone to run VoG with and my friends didn't like the idea of doing it with "randoms". So, it happened after about 3 months of playing the game every day with my friends, they no longer signed on to Destiny, moved on to other games and then it was just me left playing. So eventually I stopped playing too, moved on to other games and Destiny just sat on my shelf for about 8 or 9 months. The beginning of August this year, I started a new job, with this job came a new shift, a late shift. This changed my schedule between me and my friends, I was now awake during the day, when they were at work. I had to play something, daytime TV is terrible (lol), so I dusted off Destiny and loaded up my neglected LVL 28 Warlock. I had no idea where to start or what to do with my character, I had always played games with my 2 friends, for the first time I was alone. For a few days I just ran strikes, and started playing some of the expansion missions (which I had unlocked already but never played) eventually I got to LVL 30. For the next month, I started using Destiny LFG, the100, and found myself running the VoG Normal and HM, Crota's End Normal and HM, finding lots of Legendary Gear, PoE 28/32 and my Warlock was finally LVL 33. Then I found out about Moments of Triumph, looking at my list I had almost everything completed, but needed a few Gold Chest and Skolas. At first I didn't care about a "simple emblem" but once I hit LVL 34 after running Iron Banner recently, I noticed it was the only thing I had left to complete, I had 7 days left to do it too. So I ran it for 7 hrs the first day, I could not complete it, but I was not discouraged. I posted that experience in the forums and a bunch of people sent out offers of helping me (which is wonderful and why I love this community despite it's sometimes flaws). Today, a guy I added offered to take me threw it, we tackled it head-on. After about 2 hrs from the time we started 35 PoE to the time Skolas was finally downed, it happened, I completed my Triumphs! I just looked at the notification "You have become Legend" and it was a realization of everything I went through from the start of the game to today. It was a feeling of accomplishment, a feeling of realization that Destiny could be "my game", that I didn't need the friends I originally started the journey, that I built a "legend" with my own hands and now have an attachment to this Warlock. I look forward to Year 2, Destiny has been an overwhelming kind of game for me, I have had so many adventures now, with so many people who helped me along the way. I truly feel like, this emblem, this Triumph, is more than an emblem to me, it's a reminder of the journey, what I accomplished after such a long hiatus, and also what waits ahead of me. Thank you to all who helped me this past month in a half during this grind, I wish I had taken initiative sooner, I probably never would have put Destiny down in the first place. Regardless, it has been fun and I look forward to playing more in Year 2, rocking the Triumph Emblem the whole way. :) Feel free to share your most satisfying moments! I would enjoy hearing about other people's experience and their journey!
