Yes the comment is meant that all ladies who join should be putting differences aside. We get it, no guys. Blah blah.

The difference comment is about our clan members putting their differences aside - we may all identify as female, but that doesn't make us all the same person. I'm not sure why it's so hard for folks to differentiate between a comment about how we work together internally and our membership requirements. Maybe they're looking for a reason to be offended? Do you have any insights into that?
