Yay or nay. I think it looks AMAZING but I'm curious what the community thinks. BY the way there's a beta for it coming early next month. Oh, and keep bumping this.

Like always it seems that some people are forgetting this is only the Beta...walker assault is hard but I've seen the rebels win...twice (once at the very end and once right when we got to the indoor base) the gunplay is great for multiple reasons....the blasters travel slower than the bullets of other shooters. You have to drastically lead your target. The audio and visuals are exactly what you should expect from DICE. It's outstanding. Yes there are problems. There is with any game but remember it's only the beta.

I'm undecided. I primarily play Halo and Destiny, so anything else won't feel nearly as smooth when it comes to shooting and movement. I still think I would have preferred a true sequel, and maybe something back in the Clone War era. This is still plenty fun and should be better as I get used to it. And maybe it'll help to play after I haven't had so much to drink.
-
Fck that? Why are people even TALKING about this game? You like FPS? play Blops3. You want a kickASS game play Fallout 4
-
I looks okay. But play's like crap

Its the reboot nobody wanted. We all wanted a sequel. Now I'm not saying it's an awful game, but it's not the same game I played and still play. I have no issue with the game itself, I'm just disappointed that I'll have to wait longer for a true sequel. Or at least remake of the first two games

I got Rubberbanding while I was playing Walker Assault. I'm not gonna buy in day one because Fallout 4.

Edited by Ops R4ng3r: 10/9/2015 7:33:48 PMThe vehicles are SUPER clunky to use. TTK is super short (yes they're lasers I get it, still I sometimes die faster than getting sniped by a Cycle Rifle) its hard to find a game with more than 2 people in your party, servers randomly lag spike and I can't hit the broadside of a barn, weapon variety is super lack luster in the beta (hopefully way more in full game, if not RIP) and the whole jet pack thing is annyoing.

Edited by ObamaBinLaden: 10/9/2015 7:51:46 AMIt's too easy and "casual" for lack of a better word. Some of the heaviest aim assist i have ever seen, along with infinite ammo and grenades make it this way, although it's not all bad, because this "casualization" attracts players that are somehow terrible at this game, and opens up opportunities for good ol' pubstomping Despite the fact that it can be fun to destroy bad players, however, it's pretty disappointing compared to the originals

Edited by Antonioensis: 10/9/2015 6:17:15 PMI don't get where all this hate is coming from (actually some of it) but most of it seems to be and yes I'm gonna say it, butt hurt fanboys who don't think it lives up to the "originals" and I respect that but as someone who loves the originals I like this a lot. But anyhow.. I love the beta so far! I'm gonna break it down into sections: Visuals Stunning visuals and graphics, blaster effects, explosions, and overall effects are gorgeous. Feels like I'm in the movie, very surreal when I look over a cliff or over a trench and see blasters whizzing by and tie fighter squadrons barely touching the ground as they fly by and rebel fighters in hot pursuit. Nothing bad to say here. Can't wait to see other stunning maps 10/10 Audio Probably my one of my favorite parts of the beta/game. The sound of blasters whizzing across the battlefield, enemy ships flying down (especially the iconic tie fighter sound effect) and hearing them fire blasters. the oh so terrifying sound of a lightsaber unsheathing, or a Grenade ticking, just seconds from exploding, or the sound of a AT-ST thundering around a corner. The muffled thuds of a orbital strike hitting your squad shield praying it last. And the legendary John Williams orchestras is spine tingling. It's Star Wars Audio at its best. Also 9.5/10 simply because sometimes the music just cuts awkwardly for no reason but comes back after a few seconds (again it happens rarely) /b] Gameplay (Infantry) Playing as a soldier is very fun. Instead of being highly overpowered you are just as strong as the person next to you (besides your bumper abilities which can be different) forcing you to think tactically. Running is fine and not clunky (I honestly have no idea what people are talking about) shooting your blaster feels great (very aged future if I do say so myself) , active reload is fun and not annoying if you are smart. Active "cards" (abilities) are balanced, jump pack is lots of fun to use. Overall infantry gameplay is smooth and I never found myself having a issues. Although some animations could be improved but that is expected in a beta. 8/10 because of animation bugs at time but does not affect gameplay and it is expected with the beta I will update this soon as something has just come up irl

I felt it was good, my only negatives would be lack of variety in weapons and abilitys, Heros only being able to be picked up with random drops, and hoth being stupidly one sided

Too laggy

It amazing :)

It's going to end the same way every other always online next-gen game have ended.

Edited by seahawks12pk: 10/9/2015 7:16:56 PMI really want it to be good but I'm not getting my hopes up because EA
-
They need to give revels ground vehicles and add more ground vehicles. Also vehicles shouldn't be battle pickups
-
It's certainly a very cool game, but it's not what I was hoping for. I was hoping for something more like the other Battlefront games. And while this game is great in its own right, it's ultimately not what I'm looking for.
-
Beautiful graphics Awesome Star Wars setting Awful radar system Terrible, outdated, boring gunplay Goofy, dated grenade mechanics Poor sniper ammo management system Clunky movement Unbalanced gameplay between those who have unlocked gear and those who don't Really dumb abilities like Armour Lock WHERE YOU CAN STILL MOVE I dunno. It was fun for a couple hours to goof around in. I was even doing really well, topping the leaderboards with most kills and going 2.0+kd most games. Even so, it's not something I would play for more than a weekend, even the full game. 6/10 If it wasn't Star Wars 5/10
-
How have they managed to make a game inferior to the previous this many this after?
-
The Hoth map is one sided as -blam!-.
-
Literally played the originals till my fingers bled, and after watching some streams I gotta say I'm very disappointed. Might download the beta this weekend when I have time off work, but if it's not anything like the originals I'm most likely going to dislike it. I'll just wait for Fallout.

I saw "Battles" under missions and I'm hoping that's going to be BF2's Instant Action.

Edited by SamuelandCheese: 10/9/2015 2:35:08 AMVisually the game is great. It couldn't look more like Star Wars. And the audio, oh god it's glorious. My biggest worry was that this would be battlefield with a Star Wars skin, but they changed the formula enough to not feel like an exact copy. That's not to say that base idea and feel isn't there, but it's definitely muted (and that's exactly what it needed to be) the pick up power rewards, weapons and vehicles is definitely something different but the more I play the more I can get used to it. It's not my most favorite thing in the world but it's not a deal breaker for me.
A disappointment I have with reviewers is folks who are crying because it isn't Battlefront 3. I'm glad DICE came out and said it isn't a sequel, but a reboot and something different otherwise I would be disappointed. Sadly it isn't the Battlefront 3 we all saw in that test footage we got psyched for years ago, but it's enough of its own formula that I can play it and actually find myself enjoying it.
My biggest gripe with the game itself is how unbalanced Hoth Walker assault is. I've only seen one team win at the last second because myself and a teammate managed to trip up both walkers. But that's not an easy feat given how the leftmost walker is so damn close to the ice wall. I hope they find a way to balance that map (and the others if they have similar problems). TL;DR - it's not the Battlefront everyone wanted. But it's (thankfully) not a battlefield reskinned. It's the best evolution of those two ideas that we could have hoped for. It's got a few odd quirks that can be a major turn off for some people but not an overall bad game.
-
It feels super one sided when playing the 20v20 mode. I haven't played a game (whether I'm on the Imperial or rebel side) where the rebel side has won. I haven't seen the walkers get down below half health. Maybe there is something I'm missing?

Got the beta yesterday, it looks great.
