So, Dishonored is my all time favorite game on last gen, and is in my top 5 for best game ever made. So when I heard a definitive edition was in the works, I was ecstatic! I thought they'd increase the frame rate (which was complete shit in the base game), and increase the resolution to 1080p along with other small tweaks and changes. I, of course, pre order the game, and waited anxiously until Aug. 25 for its release on PS4. Much to my dismay though, when that day came, the sad realization rose that this wasn't a remaster at all, but a rerelease with absolutely no new editions to the game. This was a complete cash grab from the developers. And with a sequel on the way, there was absolutely no reason to do this. This should have been to satisfy the fans, not an attempt to line their wallets. My main question is could Arkane Studios and Bethesda simply patch in a hire frame rate, and higher resolution? Or does it not work like that? Please let me know

if thats the case then i'm much happier that i got the PC version instead of the xbone version then.

I agree. Got Dishonored Definitive the day it dropped and was disappointed to see $40 gone. I loved the base game, and this re-release, copy-and-paste cashgrab disgraces it.
#gaming
But old games with low-res textures look worse in higher resolutions (IMO).

It's 1080p. That's about it. You shouldn't have bought it.
