I benched my thorn. Anyone else?
Honestly have grown to hate this weapon since I have benched it. Now it's all about the last word for small maps. And Hopscotch Pilgrim for ranged maps.
Anyone else finally bench the thorn? I hope the nerf kills it personally. Haha.
What's your load outs these days?

7 RepliesEdited by Commander B_rice: 9/1/2015 6:05:19 PMTLW is more scrubby than the thorn, and hawkmoon is cool looking but is cheap IMO kills you just as fast and hits harder with those magic bonus damage bullets. feel what you want, be sickened by what you want but the fact of the matter is there is no right or wrong way to play crucible (unless you're actively cheating i.e. lagswitching). I hate shotgunners and snipers and super users, machine gunners, rocket crotch jocks etc. to say one gun is more scrubby than others is just not wise imo, lots of the available arsenal is cheap.

1 ReplyGeez. Sounds like Thorn is the cause of world hunger, international unrest, and world financial instability. My Thorn is not benched, and no one's should be. It's an exotic weapon designed to instill fear into opponents, and I guess it has done its job. I play with Thorn, but not only with Thorn, that would be very boring.

I only use Thorn when I have the Postmortem bounty. Haven't used TLW in over 4 months.

I play Thorn in PvP. Might as well before the nerf comes. Can't wait for the auto rifle bump. I used to use my Shadow Price all the time until Bungie nerfed them to the ground.

3 RepliesI played destiny day 1 on Xbox 360 but just started over on a ps4 mid June. Got Thorn about 3 weeks ago and stopped using it mid iron banner. I finally started using my Hawkmoon and Suros and prefer them way more. Lol when I first got Thorn I was sad it was getting nerfed but now I'm counting down the days. Btw The Last Word is just as shitty if not more than Thorn.

Right now I'm using thorn and Vestian dynasty in patrol. Need the kills for hand cannons and sidearms. Plus it's cool to make the drop ships turn green.

I take out Thorn and TLW for a spin every once in a while, but I haven't touched them much in the last few months.

I used it for a tiny bit, but just could not get used to hand cannons. My go-to weapons have been scouts and pulses. Usually I'll run with Bad JuJu, Hopscotch, or MIDA. Just recently took out the NL Shadow 701x....wow, forgot how good this was. I'm tempted to reroll it for a better scope, but don't want to lose the perks currently on it. I'll just have to get used to it again.
