I believe Destiny is heading for the subscription model.
A small monthly fee like Netflix, that includes all regular updates and fixes and DLC.
It removes these endless value debates about the content included in expansions, because people simply accept a regular fee for entertainment and forget about it.
You pay for Netflix, PlayStation plus, Xbox Live etc, along with various other services - You'll pay for Destiny too if they sell it right.
It saves a fortune in marketing if you can recruit players as regular subscribers in a Warcraft style campaign. I think we'll see this option before the game's ten years is up, the tide is turning in the way we pay for entertainment.

There's a subscription built in. We pay the subscription when we bought the expansions and will continue the subscription when we buy TTK

If that's the case I'm done, I'll take my talents to south be.... (Destiny addiction kicks in) Never mind I'll pay.

Its possible that they could try it for about six months or something and see how it turns out. Personally I prefer the dlc plan, mainly because I don't want to go through periods of not playing destiny and then still be paying out, with subscriptions you feel obligated to play just because you paid for it.
