Xbox 360 to Xbox One Upgrade, help please!
So, I've had Destiny since October on the 360 platform, as well as both The Dark Below and House of Wolves expansions, and I'm currently upgrading to the Forza 6 1TB Xbox One bundle (releases same day as TTK), but I have no idea of what to expect in the way of content transfer. From what I know, my characters and grimoire, which are saved in on Bungie's servers, will migrate to and from each console without problem, but will the same be applicable to DLC, or do I have to purchase everything again, along with the disk and The Taken King expansion? I'm worried about having to re-buy all of my content ($100 US), because it's a lot of money to spend, on top of the new expansion, just because I didn't upgrade consoles earlier due to money issues. If I'm wrong, correct me, and please help me with this problem, Bungie. I've loved Destiny since I got it; please don't make me put it off because I upgraded platforms.
TL;DR Do I have to re-buy all content I bought on my 360 when I upgrade to Xbox One? Do I lose my characters? Do I have to buy the disk again or do I get a digital copy? I'm completely clueless.

Hello, As long as you stick to the same account, all progress will transfer as intended. Currently, you are able to use the [b][url=https://www.destinythegame.com/digital-upgrade]Digital Upgrade[/url][/b] to transfer your DLC from last gen ------> current gen. [b]NOTE: [/b]TTK is not part of this feature. Lastly, Any Pre-Order content, or items redeemed by codes are linked to the console that they were used on. The only things that won't transfer are preorder bonuses and limited edition items because they are console-specific. TDB and HoW will upgrade for free with the [url=http://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12122]Digital Upgrade Program[/url], but TTK will not. You'll also need to buy an XB1 version of the game. I suggest finding a used copy if you want to save some money though, depending on the price for used copies, it may work out better for you to just buy the $60 legendary edition for XB1.

1 ReplyHello Yes. You will have all of your content on your Xbox one. You can download your DLC's for free. But TTK will not transfer. So I would recommend buying it for xbox one. Also you will have to buy destiny again.
