My goodness! What has this world come to? Earlier today I made a post (link attached) asking Guardians to aid me in obtaining the elusive Blacksmith Shader, as i was deployed overseas and did not have much access to communications and such while abroad. I know that there has been a WHOLE lot of nonsense going on in both the real world and Destiny recently but I suppose the negativity didn't hit me too much because none of it was aimed directly at me. Someone negatively commented that they don't give a s*** about servicemembers. That simple, maybe even meaningless statement really got under my skin. I think that maybe the reason as to why it hit home so hard is because I have witnessed firsthand the sacrifice of other soldiers and their families, and to hear or read even just a couple derogatory words like that......It pissed me off. To add to the fire, it came from someone in within The Community. I have been apart of this Destiny since mid-Dark Below and for the most part have received support, regarding my service, from fellow Guardians. I know that not all of us share the same opinions and nobody can take that away from us, but to run into people that look down or don't approve of the military is just plain frustrating. I suppose now, after cooling off a bit, I realize that this may be considered a rant. A rant that many may not think belongs in The Community corner of the Forums. If you find yourself thinking that, I can understand your reasoning, as many among The Community have not served and comments like the one I mentioned are not meant to target you. The reason I placed this here is because these things happen in The Community. Not often does it occur, thank the Cozmo, but when it does it is a kick in the Kellbreaker's balls....
Anyway, rant complete :) Thanks for reading y'all.
TH33CL4RK out!
Edit: Thank you all for your kind words and support!!! #SupportOurGuardians

The majority of those who frequent these forums are, or at least act as though, they are under the age of 18. They get a sense of power from being jerks on here, that they don't otherwise get in the real world. I would just turn off notifications for that thread, if possible, and move on. - From a fellow service member.
