Destiny looks like it will be a fast-paced game, but that has me concerned about how hard it will be to land a hit on somebody. Firefights could last a long time because of all the missed shots. To make the firefights end more quickly and improve the flow of the game, I think Destiny should have a lock-targeting system similar to the kind pioneered by Nintendo in Ocarina of time.
I know what you are thinking, that a lock-targeting system doesn't belong in an FPS. Metroid prime, another FPS about exploration, utilized this system very well. So I don't see why Destiny shouldn't have lock on. Even in PvP scenarios, lock on will still be a viable option. But to make it so that it isn't too cheap, you wouldn't be able to specify which parts of the body you are targeting unless you aim manually. Thoughts?

Worst idea ever and I don't even need to explain why.
