It was a joke. Everyone in the universe is fair game to being made fun of. Especially if you choose to broadcast your life to the world. Stop taking things way too seriously and move on. People say things that they think are funny, not because they believe it or mean it but because it's blaming funny. Edit: it's sad that in 2015 we still have to explain things like this.
