I want to know if the Olympic record books will have to change his name from Bruce to Caitlyn or if it is ok to keep the name Bruce on anything he won during that time because at that time he felt like a boy. Or maybe he didn't. I don't really understand how the whole thing works. Because if he was Caitlyn then, does it void his competitive status back then because he was a woman competing with men? There is a "female" transgender MMA fighter that was male and now no longer has male body parts or whatever and competes against female fighters. Even though "her" body is a million times larger in muscle mass than the other competitors in the same weight class. And for a former man who is now a woman to be able to beat up [other] women for sport seems a bit odd. I mean, I guess with the whole notion of men and women being equal and being able to compete against each other it shouldn't make a difference, but somehow this still seems wrong. Correct me f I'm completely misunderstanding the entire transgender thing because I really do want to understand it, but it is a horribly difficult concept to wrap my head around because I have absolutely no experience with this kind of thing.

You got it about right. But I would also like to add, how is Bruce (Catlin whatever) Jenner a role model for Transgendered people? He spent more money than they will ever see on becoming a (beauitful? No) woman. He will never know what a (normal? NO) Trans person goes through.
