The joke was in poor taste.
Remember kids, "politically correct" is a politically correct way of saying "treating people with respect."
Making comments or jokes that aren't "politically correct" is the same as "treating people with disrespect."
It's not about thin skin, it's about not being a jerk to someone or making jokes at someone's expense.
I have all the thick skin in the world after being in the army. But all that meant was being tolerant of intolerance.
Grow up, make jokes that don't belittle people. Don't insult people or make baseless accusations and quit telling other people that they must endure you being a jerk or they are weak and/or inferior to you.
You will be a better person and people will respect you more when you show more respect. I promise.
