Thoughts on the hive actually being a symbiote with a worm species, that eventually mature into a moth-like creature?

The Hive feed on worms that they swallow whole, worms which you can see in various Hive lairs. These worms, if left uneaten, mature into those moth-like things that fly around

I'm not sure. I'm not as well versed in this particular aspect of the Hive as others. AnonPig would know more
