So... Here we are community. I'm writing this to inform everybody. I've seen alot of Sheep who will blindly defend Bungie. I've also seen alot of people who will hate them, their game, say they will leave, and never do it.
So, now to the title. What can we not do with the Taken King? The answer is: assume and make uninformed decisions.
The sheep all assume that TTK will be a godsend. Bungie can do no wrong in their eyes. And this is not healthy to a game, its community, or its feedback.
My advice here: Don't preorder. If it turns out not being good, you got screwed.
The haters all assume that the Taken King will be awful. They will bash it no matter what. This is also not healthy to a community or its feedback; in some ways it is worse than sheep.
My advice here: Don't judge until the DLC comes out. Without all of the details we cannot form an educated decision. For all we know, this could be the best thing ever. Yet bashing it before knowing it all will make you go back on your words pretty hard if you are wrong.
Overall, what should we do?
We should go in with an open mind, but be wary. Don't jump to conclusions both for and against it. That is the only way to truly be unblinded, and see it for how it actually is.

Edited by DredgenWrath: 8/28/2015 2:08:59 PMVery good points that I am sure most people in this toxic excuse for a community will never even bother to make an attempt to follow.

Good post. I do not agree with the way bungie is doing some things, but some changes look promising. I enjoy the game and will hold off judgment until I play it and see how all of the mechanics work. If I don't enjoy the game with all of the changes I will move. My only dilemma is do I preorder? I will be buying I already know that because my wife said so...she is a big fan. But I don't want to give bungie a preorder because I don't like the whole preorder philosophy and have never preordered a game, but then I miss the preorder rewards...

House of wolves was pretty much what I wanted it to be, and the taken king looks even better. 40$ really isn't that much and I don't mind spending it on something that I will enjoy and play for countless hours
-
Well put I agree with you 100%, we should not draw conclusions until we have actually played the new DLC.
-
The only assuming I see here is coming from you.
-
tl;dr
don't preorder keep an open mind or something
Wait... you are saying to the community that one should have a unbiased opnion of TTK, keeping away from hype but not neccicarly hating on it? https://imgflip.com/i/q6zxm But seriously good job.

honestly after reading this new weekly update i'm pretty worried seeing as how there is a chance we won't be able to play endgame content without the ttk

The funniest thing about the situation and your post is that it clearly depicts why this game is such a cash cow. They are ruining the game as they go along in order to have things to fix in the future. They are sabotaging the game in such a way that it will still appeal to a marjority50-60% and at these retarded prices that's all it takes to keep the cow milk coming. MY ADVICE: run. Run far away unless you want to see this price gouging and self sabotage business blue print used in the next iteration of your favorite game.

After 2 DLCs, I don't trust anything any Bungie says. I do hope the game improves and Bungie starts to communicate better with the community.

Truth is where you find it.
bumped and liked.
Edited by TheShadow: 8/28/2015 5:05:47 AMSo, you are saying you're between the sheep and haters? Just curious on what you think guardians that know whats going on but pre ordered it anyways. What you think they are...
-
This. Burmp.
-
I agree
-
Honestly idc anymore and surprised anyone else cares. The game died after dark below. Not trying to bash it, just a lot better games to play. The concept of pre ordering is cancer anyways
-
If everyone listened to you and no one preordered, no one would have any idea what it's like. There are quite a few things I'm really looking forward to, so I'm going with a positive outlook going into the game. Yeah, there are a few things that aren't perfect but I'm making no judgements until it comes out. It doesn't hurt anyone to go in with a positive outlook and an open mind.
