It's international export/import taxes that's raising your price. Not Bungie or Activision. :(

Not how it works.
-
How does it work? I live in the US so im fine with my price lol. Just trying to help this guy out with figuring out why the DLC is more expensive overseas.
-
Sorry but wrong...try again...
-
Clearly someone here has common sense. Thank you for knowing that there's more to what's at face value.
-
On digital content there isn't...no reason we are getting slugged 15% plus over the U.S. Price...
-
A business can't have price disparity between digital and physical merchandise. If the digital merchandise was cheaper then no one would buy the physical copies which would mean that all the manufacturing, labor, handling, and shipping costs would all be losses from a business standpoint. It would make no sense. Bungie also cannot offer only digital content because it would then detract from their Legendary Edition sales and Collector's Edition sales.

Edited by GreenScreener: 8/28/2015 2:10:11 AMIn Australia, Disc version of LE is $79 in stores and digital version $99.95 on the PSN...anyone care to explain??? Also I'm not sure there is just a TTK physical copy available...we have to pay $69.95 just for the download...
-
Is the digital version the Collector's Edition? I know on PSN they only offer (in the US) the $79.99 edition. But if you have the two previous DLC's already then you can search for the "regular" Taken King DLC which is only $39.99. Its weird because you have to actively search out the $39.99 version, or else PSN keeps bringing up the $79.99 one.
-
Yeah but our version of the digital TTK only (your$39.95) is 69.95. AUD, which is well over $50USD...that's all I'm pissed at
-
They would have to, else there would be disparities between the physical copies and the digital ones :/
-
on digital content..........thats insane
-
Don't forget it's in stores as well as a PHYSICAL DISC. So they should have it as one price as the digital download and another price on physical discs?

I'm not Australian so I have no knowledge on how taxes or anything work there. All I know is, your government is -blam!-ed up. According to Sky News.
-
Well completely true with the govt being -blam!-ed up, but that actually has nothing to do with import duties on digital content...there isn't any, Bungievision are screwing their year 1 guardians.

i dont think ive seen the disk, ive looked for it but can only find the legendary edition in a physical form
-
Edited by Badshah Kazi: 8/28/2015 1:58:33 AMI've seen the disc on its own on a local GAME store available to pre order but nowhere online. GAME store in London, Croydon by the way if you're wondering.

Why are you still here? I gave you he proper forum and even the thread you need to be bumping. You might as well be complaining about the salt content in a Big Mac and expecting Bungie to justify it.

i went there, didnt know what do do, send link again, im on my laptop now, before i was on my phone and i couldn't do anything you sound like my mom ffs ha
