Red Death and the Messenger
Mk so I've noticed that the messenger is not only as good as, but better than Red Death and this should not be. For the main reason, RED DEATH IS AN EXOTIC! Sorry for yelling but come on. Why is a legendary beating out an EXOTIC in the stats that matter most? Yeah, when we get a kill with red death our health is restored, but hey, we need to get that freaking kill. And if I'm going against a gun with better fire rate, better stability, and I think better range, am I going to get that kill? Probably not. Unless the other guy has terrible aim. Can we two shot with the red death? Because I've never seen it. But guess what I hear all the time in reference to the messenger, 'oh it's so great because I can 2 shot people all the time'. Exotics are supposed to be the top tier in their weapon class, it's not right when you get lucky enough to be around Xur when he's selling it or damned lucky enough to find it as a drop and then switch back to your legendary because the [b]EXOTIC[/b] you just got was crap in comparison to it. I don't really know if Bad Juju is good or not but if something has to be said for the sake of Red Death, well then maybe that's proof enough that it needs to be looked at again too. Now I'm not asking you to make the Red death a 'god amongst men' in reference to all the weapons in Destiny. But, I am asking you to make sure that the exotics are the 'gods amongst men' of their respective weapon class. For example, Thorn and the Last Word... Need I say more? I shall anyways, Thorn is a two shot weapon (which apparently pulse rifles can be) in the right hands (until it's nerfed of course). And if you are in a 1v1 against the freaking Last Word... (Mafia voice) Fugget about it... You're dead. Billy the Kid right there. Gjally is not even worth going into detail about, we all know what it does. My point is that the pulse rifle exotics need to be 'gods amongst men' when talking about pulse rifles, Red Death in particular. Anything less than the best (for Red Death) is a felony :P. So that is my request Bungie. Make the exotic pulse rifles live up to what it means to be an exotic.

Exotics supposed to be better? I disagree. To me the only difference is that exotics have a unique feature or function not normal to other guns. Save for the exotic hand cannons, which are getting hit hard with the nerf bat, most exotics do not actually out preform their legendary counter parts. in PvP, exotic shotties are outpreformed by legendaries. in PvP, Gjallarhorn's crazy damage in unnecessary, but otherwise it is one of the few guns that sit strongly above legendaries (and is getting nerfed). Truth isn't that much better than normal launchers, the tracking is only mildly noticeable. Mida isn't the best scout rifle. Bad Juju isn't the best pulse rifle. Most of the exotic auto rifles are not even ideal weapons. Icebreaker doesn't do more damage than another sniper, it's got regen (though that is getting nerfed). VERY few exotics are stand strongly above their legendary counterparts, and when they do they get nerfed. why should Red Death be any different?
