The price is reduced from £40 to £27.50
That would reduce the price so that it is in line with what the usa and the rest of Europe(with euro) are paying.
£27.50 is much more than what Ive usually paid for a Dlc in the past with any game but I will give Bungie the benefit of the doubt that this is an expansion and will contain more than the previous dlcs(which were priced at around £18 each or both with the season pass for £35)
Everything looks good, i want it but im not going to be taken the p!ss out of by paying a higher price than the rest of the globe.
EDIT.
*if its full game worthy why isnt it a full game price in the usa or anywhere else? Why only uk paying full game price
* if its to do with taxes in the uk then where were those taxes when I bought vanilla destiny, why did i only pay £40 and not £63.
also for the Americans who believe it is worth $63 but are only paying $40....put your money where you mouth is, buy the dlc for $40 and send me the remaining $23......il use that to buy ttk....everybody is a winner, destiny get the money they deserve, you get to pay destiny what you think the game is worth and I get ttk........tri-tri-tri triple win. (im not serious)

I'm buying the collectors edition for 80. Worth it
-
Why would they reduce the money in europe from 40 bucks to 28? Thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard
-
Won't happen, Bungievision doesn't give a flying -blam!- about the pricing, or they would have shipped the vanilla game for 40$/£/€. And before fanboys shit in my throat, YES, THE GAME HAD 25 WORTH OF CONTENT AT RELEASE
-
Did you know When the dlc was 1st placed on the marketplace on xbox 1 it was priced at £24.99 as i paid that for it. It then changed i assume the same day to the now £40 price
-
Sounds fair, honestly hope you brits don't get dicked on by Bungie
-
Just wait 3 months and you'll prolly get a polished Taken King (as Bungie tends to sell us a shit product then roll out with updates), and the next DLC for a bundle of probably $50...
-
Edited by xcutioner_0: 8/29/2015 8:19:59 PMThat probably wont happen...but they might go to 35$ if enough people want that.
-
Agreed. Feel bad for you Brits. Bullshit pricing, especially in the digital download era. It's not like they can blame it on shipping costs and what-not. Shady, shady.
-
If the season pass was £35 this is nothing new, because the season pass in the U.S. was $35
-
Well, its obviously not happening before release date then. I mean there isn't really time now to drop the price and, even if they did, people who preordered last week would demand a refund. So it won't happen now and its therefore safe to say Great Britain has been left in the cold by Bungie. The most expensive DLC in living memory for most of us, and worldwide the highest price of this item. All without a single comment, explanation from the community team, nor gesture of recompense. Thanks for nothing. You are outside my circle of trust Fokker.
-
Edited by CWRM: 8/29/2015 7:15:27 PMIt won't go that low, as that would put it even in price and there are taxes/duties that apply. I can see it being fairly priced at around £32.
-
Poor you...
-
May aswell just wait for a month or two and xbox will put it on there games for gold and it'll be half price lol or it'll be on another site for cheaper after a few weeks
-
Yeah the price is a ball ache, don't think they should do it too their player base, TTK is costing me more than vanilla.
-
I lived in Europe for over six years, because of my job, and I can't tell you how often I'd purchase a product that seemed like the $ sign was removed, and they simply placed the € sign in its place. I mean, €59 for a controller that costs the same in the U.S. was absurd. The exchange rate was horrible and I paid more for items than I should have, but I wanted it and got it. Same applies here regarding UK prices and other parts of Europe.
-
Thank you for yet another awesome thread about the price. If you want to play the game, buy it. Too expensive, then don't. Put up or shut up.
-
Maybe you should talk to the Queen and tell her that having your own currency kind of sucks some ass then.
-
Bump for our limey brothers over the sea. They need a fair price
-
I'm not buying it at that price. I originally planned to buy it, but I've grown less impressed the more they've revealed. I think they should concentrate on selling me Destiny 2 and not losing me completely as a customer. That means value for money now, and a fair price for the DLC. I don't want it cheaper than $40, I just wanted to pay the same as everyone else. I won't enjoy playing it otherwise, I'll just feel cheated. Fair price for Britain or keep it Bungie.
-
If it helps, the u.s are paying more than canada. Its the same price, 40.00 for both countries. But the u.s is actually paying like 52 bucks canadian for it.
-
Amazon have it listed at £44!
-
<--- Not buying it at all.
-
WE WILL ONLY LET YOU PLAY TTK IF.... You throw money at the screen thx
-
Who cares
-
Then don't buy it. You think Bungie cares about you? Money!
-
Don't blame us u have different taxes there. Here's is a solution sell some old games and put it towards TTK. Solved
