The price is reduced from £40 to £27.50
That would reduce the price so that it is in line with what the usa and the rest of Europe(with euro) are paying.
£27.50 is much more than what Ive usually paid for a Dlc in the past with any game but I will give Bungie the benefit of the doubt that this is an expansion and will contain more than the previous dlcs(which were priced at around £18 each or both with the season pass for £35)
Everything looks good, i want it but im not going to be taken the p!ss out of by paying a higher price than the rest of the globe.
EDIT.
*if its full game worthy why isnt it a full game price in the usa or anywhere else? Why only uk paying full game price
* if its to do with taxes in the uk then where were those taxes when I bought vanilla destiny, why did i only pay £40 and not £63.
also for the Americans who believe it is worth $63 but are only paying $40....put your money where you mouth is, buy the dlc for $40 and send me the remaining $23......il use that to buy ttk....everybody is a winner, destiny get the money they deserve, you get to pay destiny what you think the game is worth and I get ttk........tri-tri-tri triple win. (im not serious)

Lol only UK. Have a look at what we pay in Australia.....
-
Don't u wish u could go back in time and tell your ancestors to hop on the mayflower?
-
I understand how you feel, living in the UK its annoying when things are overpriced especially on digital items because they dont need transporting so shouldnt have tax right? wrong. An EU law was passed meaning digital items are now taxed, it sucks but thats the way it is
-
We don't get tax for digital downloads. Bungie has to pay a higher uk tax so therefore blame your government.
-
Then don't buy it. You don't need to tell us this. It's a pointless post.
-
Than it looks like you aren't buying TTK because they won't lower that price.
-
I've wasted $60 for the digital game download on the first day it was released $60 for Advanced Warfare (Pre-Order), giving me the Blacksmith Shader $40-60 on PS Plus sale for the Ship, Emblem, and Ghost shell $80 for TTK I've wasted around $240-260 :0 Money comes and goes :3

Nobody cares

Matchmaking optional for everything.

Edited by KenghisGahn: 8/30/2015 12:41:59 AMI agree that game companies in general need to stop over charging UK customers because they cant do conversation rates. However I wouldn't hold your breathe for this. I give you props for trying though EDIT I see a lot of replies blaming activation or bungie for this. This is a problem with all game companies in general. Activision is shit no doubt but they aren't the only ones who do this
-
Sucks, I wish everyone had to pay the same amount. I think you shouldn't have to pay more because of where you live.
-
You want it cheaper!? Australia pays $70!
-
Also you should of linked this about changing the prices. https://www.change.org/p/bungie-activision-price-destiny-fairly-in-the-uk

You know you can just change your console region to USA.buy $50 xbox live credit from pcgamesupply for around £32. A little more than the £27.50 you state but still a saving.I myself are preferring to save more money by not purchasing TTK. It will only pull me away from far better games which are due out this year
-
Simple.. Buy it at christmas/new year when they do an xbox/psn deal on it
-
Bungie doesn't control this, your country does
-
aren't you guys getting the suros pack (outside of the usa), where we get it like in jan of 2016? :o)
-
Still well overpriced even at £27.50 the season pass for the last of us was around £15 and that is a top tier game.
-
What you stupid people aren't getting is yes its a DLC but its not your average size of a DLC , its going to be massive compared to The Dark Below , or even The House Of Wolves , The Taken King isn't your average DLC its bigger then that , so shut up and stop complaining , dont tell us (we dont care) , go tell you mum (but she wont care either) , or even better yet? Dont buy the bloody dlc , you dont like the price? Tough titties dont buy it. Me personally I love destiny so iv splashed out £80 for collectors edition? I like destiny so I'm happy to pay that money , I'm a 16 year old kid on £67.50 a day and I work 4 days a week , I pay for my own food , rent and yes it's hard but mate you probably have it easy? £40 to some is a lot? Dont like it then theres isn't much you can do. But complainting about it and bitching on a forum , well that's not going to get you anywhere is it? Seriously. Why parents , why. Your 8 year old kid shouldn't be playing this game... RANT OVER , its not just your average shitty dlc , its a lot bigger then that , so man up and stop being a pussy.
-
I really do hate that pricing scheme in the UK. It is a tad annoying knowing you'd be paying on average more than Americans/other Europeans. What Bungie should do is take the transfer rates into account and try to equate it all to ~$40 in all currencies
-
Edited by ZionFury7: 8/29/2015 11:28:21 PMIt will be a whole new game, if you must be a consumer, wait for the media or YouTube gaming reviews and base your decision on purchasing the dlc based on their ratings score. If it's an all around 4.5-5 stars on a 1-5 star grading scale by the majority, Buy It!!!!
I hate paying the foreign exchange rate when I travel to Europe and ect but you do what you have to do to have a good time ;)
-
Well it'd be more reasonable to send $11.50 that way your paying an even amount I agree being foreign shouldn't make you pay extra and on that note do Canadians pay extra?
-
I paid 35 USD for the season pass and u stated you paid the same in your currency doesn't that mean u already bought over inflated dlc? Why bitch now?

Edited by UmbraWulf: 8/29/2015 10:08:07 PMIn Australia it is selling for $79 retail it is $99 which is more than I paid for Destiny on release so stop your whinging. Now, they pretty much could release this as a stand alone game it sounds like it would be about the size of Destiny maybe only a little smaller but they won't until they finish the full Destiny 2 which will only be on next gen consoles or even next, next gen consoles. Don't blame Bungie or even Activision for the price difference in your country, it is how licensing works the people who own the license for your zone control pricing. Same as DVD. Digital pricing should fall into line with dollar values because data is data but forced scarcity and licensing issues, due to contractual agreements it is probably a breach of contract to sell the digital version for much cheaper. Hence why here digital version of LE is $119. If you don't like the price, don't buy the game. Edit: Just so you are aware the average price for a new game is about $100

I'm buying the collectors edition for 80. Worth it
