The price is reduced from £40 to £27.50
That would reduce the price so that it is in line with what the usa and the rest of Europe(with euro) are paying.
£27.50 is much more than what Ive usually paid for a Dlc in the past with any game but I will give Bungie the benefit of the doubt that this is an expansion and will contain more than the previous dlcs(which were priced at around £18 each or both with the season pass for £35)
Everything looks good, i want it but im not going to be taken the p!ss out of by paying a higher price than the rest of the globe.
EDIT.
*if its full game worthy why isnt it a full game price in the usa or anywhere else? Why only uk paying full game price
* if its to do with taxes in the uk then where were those taxes when I bought vanilla destiny, why did i only pay £40 and not £63.
also for the Americans who believe it is worth $63 but are only paying $40....put your money where you mouth is, buy the dlc for $40 and send me the remaining $23......il use that to buy ttk....everybody is a winner, destiny get the money they deserve, you get to pay destiny what you think the game is worth and I get ttk........tri-tri-tri triple win. (im not serious)

I seriously don't understand how they have not addressed this yet... There has to be some other reason than somebody didn't realize the currency exchange... I love destiny but idk if I would shell out another 23 dollars because of my location.

Fair enough

Well I see you said you paid £35 for the TDB and HoW dlc. I paid $35 for both of them well. So you actually paid more for those dlc then I did. But now that this dlc is £40 for euro and $40 for US, there's a problem. Sorry just don't follow your logic. And i see the unfair pricing but when you spend £35 for those two dlc and now complain about £40 unfair pricing. You can see why bungie stayed with with same cost, since no one complained then.
-
How much did your platform cost in the UK?
-
David Cameron missed out on xur selling gjallarhorn so he's taxing the shit out of bungie, fcuking Tories!
-
Has anyone tried switching the country on your Xbox to US?
-
American here, I support this, even if you Europeans are freedom hating savages <3
-
I feel bad for you guys....I don't even find it worth it at $40usd
-
I hope Bungie doesn't meet their sales models for TTK so they can realize that this needs to get fixed
-
Probably paid more for your ps4/xone as well, UK always seems to get had off in terms of price.
-
You have a point tho ive pre ordered it anyway... I aint missing out over a few £.

Should also b noted that the red bull "quest" is a ttk "story line/arc" excerpt that has been contracted to redbull for exclusivity until Jan 2016 for products only sold in the USA. At end of contract the content will be released to all purchasers of ttk. Wondering why my overpriced £40 which as no one can argue is an inflated value in comparable price when matched with the USA, is already confirmed to have content removed for which apparently I'm already paying for in order that bungie/activision can generate income from completely unrelated merchandising that alienated the entire planet except of course the USA for 5 months. Now when the content is finally released will it b released so close to a new dlc drop that the desire to do it at that point is negated. Kinda like the exclusive content that's dropping finally for xbox. Who wants last year's exotic exclusives now that they are not moving with the game. Thanks bungie, due to the current business/contract model you have, you clearly shown that for the same pricing for all formats you really are holding back content that frankly shouldn't be because you have now made it obsolete before we even got to try the content that in fairness we paid for just like everyone did on playstation systems. I understand business's require to make money but excluding part of your target audience in this manner is probably going to backfire when people realise just how cut up this game will become when bungie/activision are offered piles of money to cut content to sell (insert any brand). They clearly will pretty much do anything to make cash from this product including cutting content which they have now confirmed when it does become available it will be obsolete. I for one have cancelled my preorder of ttk. Please also understand that I am a massive fan of destiny and am thankful for the friends that I have made thus far on my journey, however it appears that no matter how much I try to love my favourite game and defend it as often as I do, I will be moving on to new pastures with friends for other reasonably priced and non excluding games for which there are many. Sorry bungie but for me from my point of view you appear to care very little about your consumers and even less about the ones on xbox systems. Your end of year and going forwards plans are now transparent for all to see.

Try buying it in Australia. I wish it only cost $40 here...
-
So what people in places like Australia and new Zealand are paying like nearly 80 of there respective dollars
-
I feel for you guys. I read (tried to read) an article that tried to explain why export and digital content was so dang expensive. There was a lot of buzzwords and hem hawing around ... as far as I can tell, it's because it's a freaking racket and if someone wants to screw you, they have a law - protected right to do so. It's ridiculous.
-
100% would buy it if all the prices world wide was the same £40 is a piss take
-
The thing that gets me is you can buy a hard copy of Destiny the taken king legendary edition for £36 which includes the original game first two expansions weapon pack and other bits. Yet just for the taken king expansion on its own digital download it's £39.99. It makes no sense.
-
I'm buying it in euros by changing my ip to a European on my work address. It will only cost me £22
