So like the Vex... Which I would imagine the big black ball in the black garden to be the opposite of the traveler but both are Vex Tech?

The HotBG is not Vex at all, but was worshiped by it. The Traveler may be the creator of the Vex, and she used them to help with terraforming before their corruption by the Heart

The black heart isn't vex it is something else. And the most logical reaction for the vex was to worship the heart
