How does rasputin fit into the mix? Also, should I be on the traveler's side?

Rasputin is the last of the Warminds. While his brothers and sisters fought the Darkness and were killed, Rasputin shut down solar defenses and let the Darkness in, biding his time. Maybe the City's side would be a safer option
