So i'm so used to his voice that i'm not sure I can really feel at home with Kiefer Sutherland. The change makes no sense to me either since Kojima had the same Japanese voice actor for Snake literally voice both Big Boss and Solid Snake in the games. Not having David Hayter for this final MGS Kojima game feels like a giant slap in the face of the man who has been voicing Snake for almost 20 years.

Edited by TonyPartridge30: 8/27/2015 5:31:33 PMHayter is, and always will be, Snake. I think MGSV represents a turning point for Big Boss, the beginning of his transition into a villain. I think this version of Snake is supposed to be broken inside and full of anguish, hate, rage, and other negative emotions. These kind of emotions are atypical of previous incarnations of Snake, and Hayter hasn't had to voice a character filled with such negativity (not saying he couldn't). Keifer has, and did a pretty good job (here's to you, Jack Bauer). I don't know the real reason behind Hayter's replacement, but I think Keifer will do fine. I'm more worried about the apparent lack of lines Venom Snake is supposed to have.
