Will we be able to do anything with our extra 40 etheric lights or are they worthless now?

I still have close to 40, but started using them last week when I saw there was no exchange. All of those hours in PoE wasted. Never again.

I would assume everything is useless. Etheric,exotic shards, radiant, ascendant ect... Its how they do it at bungie. bungieMake something seem so important then 3 months later its useless.
