I've been a long time fan of Destiny, even played the Alpha and Beta when they were available, but time after time I've seen the severe lack of content, story, and more from what Bungie and Activision had promised us. And the fact that they are trying to pass off this next DLC for $40.00 is disgusting!!!
I was stupid enough to buy this game at release without letting others play and review it, I won't make the same mistake twise, and I advise you to do the same. I'm not saying 'Don't buy it' but more so to wait a few weeks after it is released before going in blind. I know some of you might be thinking: "But if the're charging this much, then it must be worth it right? It's double the price of the last 2 DLC" That's true, but the fact of the matter is, WE DON'T KNOW!
None of us have any SOLID idea as to what is in The Taken King, only trailers and promises, and how well did That work out for us at Day 1? Sure, maybe they've learned their lesson, maybe they made the 'big fix', but maybe they didn't.
And if you buy it at release and it is bad, or incomplete, or not what they promised, then you will HATE yourself for it. I bought the Legendary Edition of Destiny on day 1 and I can't think of a bigger regret in my life. Save your money, trust me, the Taken King won't go anywhere while you hold onto your money for a few more days.
Well, I've said my piece, I'm done. Let's just hope we can yell loud enough for the big shots in Bungie and Activision to get a clue and stop killing Destiny for a quick cash grab.

Edited by ofaDyingStar: 8/26/2015 6:45:16 AMWeren't the last two DLC's 20$ each? If this DLC is at least the size of both of those DLC's combined, I would say that kind of explains the 40$ price. Just looking at it from a number crunching perspective. They don't technically owe anyone anything and it's still a business so it's not like they're going to throw it out there for 10$. Edit: if buying a video game is your biggest regret in your life maybe you should consider getting out more.
