Why do you think Atheism is mainly opposed to Christianity?
For all you know, the people you are refuting rejected Shintoism, Islam or Hinduism.
Atheists reject ALL religions equally, not just Christianity.

That's fine. If I or anyone was going to bring up an issue with any text, religious or not, we better understand what that text actually says in context.
