Instead of "banning" the player found to be cheating (lag switching or whatever), let them continue to play PvP under these circumstances:
1.) Their bullets no longer damage enemy guardians - You can get creative here, and maybe allow these cheaters to heal enemy combatants instead.
2.) Their supers and grenades are disabled - Just like it sounds. They only have their useless gun to rely on.
3.) Their melee gives enemy guardians an overshield - Basically like the defender melee, only to the enemy.
4.) They continually generate orbs for the enemy team - Supers for days for everyone else.
5.) They are highlighted on the map for all enemy guardians - Nowhere for them to hide.
6.) Their deaths do not contribute to the game, but are calculated in their overall stats - we can not be punishing the poor sods who end up with cheaters on their team
And do not put a time limit on their punishment - if you do then they will simply stop playing for a few days and then come back repeating the same nonsense. No, instead, make the punishment X amount of games. That way, they actually have to sit through matches being absolutely useless, and the pariah of their team (and the PvP community) until they EARN their way back to normal PvP status.
Don't just remove them from the community - let those of us who don't cheat get some satisfaction in watching them be useless and get justice for their cheating arse.
Thoughts?

How about putting them into a third team solo in team based game types.
-
When the cheaters are in the tower they should also be dressed in pink holding a barbie doll instead of a gun.

Edited by Brennus79: 8/30/2015 9:01:01 AMIf you ban em. I see they talking only from bans but dont really ban anyone. But its not fair too protect the laggers. Why i can not make damage on a lagger and he get his damage when his outgoing data is back. Or get him dead for Bad Connection that means -no bans that means -no flawless or advantage for Lag Switchers
-
Yet, all of these ideas would severely hurt whatever team they play on.. It that fair? Did they do anything? No. It's better to just ban them.
-
Yes I see where you are coming from but I reckcon they should be console ban if it seen repeatly that they are lag switching every match we just have a lazy ban team who sit on their butts and watch porn all day and wait for 100 reports about that player to be flagged before batting a eyelid.
-
Sounds fun in theory but destructive for actual game play. Just ban them and brick their consoles.
-
People would actively try and get those modifiers for fun unfortunately.

Thats Brutal. I like it. Although it will lead to EPIC levels of Trolling you know. Bad teams winning Trials because of this, or IB, it should also include a Ban from Competitive Game Types, like Iron Banner or Trials. Also any reward given to them via drops in this time is all Cheater gear, With Targets stylized on it them. Last but not least, imagine that guy having no idea and going into a Rumble match!
-
All that would do nothing but screw over the team who has to play with the cheat. He could be by himself and join five individual guardians only to -blam!- the game up further. Unless this is a joke, which I think it is.. Terrible ideas
-
Also, force their guardians to wear "Mark of the Cheater" emblem until said punishment is over so even players in the tower and pve areas know what they've done.

Edited by Gonzocyn: 8/26/2015 7:36:36 PMThen, after their punishment, if they get caught cheating again they can be permanently banned from the game. LOVE IT!!

Just give their characters stink lines. And then if you see somebody running around with stink lines, you know to stay away from them.

Overkill....I like it
