You were all jerks, but you did get justice:p I also hate it when people stay up there when I go down. First of all, you sitting up top when the others go down helps in no way. I can take the minotaurs out with a shotgun much faster down there then you with you sniper up there.
During the fight the constant DPS you do to the boss makes it so adds keep spawning constantly. Adds that were meant to be shot by three people, not one or two. Especially hard this week with grounded since you can't jump around too much to evade the fire of 30 or so (hob)goblins. But if you want to feel like you're not cheesing because you easily kill that one Minotaur every minute go ahead.
So the people down there will be shooting adds the entire time with minimal time to DPS the boss. This sometimes leads to people down there not getting the bounty done for killing Sekrion which happened to me multiple times because of that.
Also when someone dies down there, 9/10 times the guy(s) up top don't come down to revive. Also I can't revive you at all if you die up there. Seriously Bungie needs to spawn five major lvl 36 Minotaurs up there in stead of one you can easily kill in seconds.
Oh Ye forgot the fact that when you die up there, the Minotaur just goes to stand on the ledge and shoot the people down there.

Firing 7 gally rounds on the nexus doesn't help....? Lock on and aim a little high and it goes over top of his shield. You can also snipe over his shield. If that's not helping idk what is.

You can fire off 7 gally round down there as well and help kill adds so you get more ammo to shoot at him. DPS'ing the boss up top while your teammates are below only accomplishes taking away 2 of your 3 man team shooting at the boss because they need to shoot all the goblins you make spawn

I'll just make 2 quick points : 1 - I was a warlock and could have self res'd (I've stated below if I choose to play up there sometimes, I jump down as soon as someone dies). 2 - You said that I was "sitting up top while others went down" but I was the first to the ledge by a minute. They pushed me down before jumping down obviously. Since I was first to the ledge, I have no idea what their game plan is. Maybe they both were staying up top - if I jump down I make it harder on my team.

Then you're that 1/10 that isn't an asshole :p I'm usually the first to get to the ledge and since it's just a weekly sitting up there doesn't cross my mind. I just jump down. I'm just not a big fan of sitting far away and sniping things the easy way and I figure most people now know this fight isn't that hard or long when you just fight in the arena. I usually manage just fine though when two people stay up top, but sometimes the hobgoblins just surprise kill me and I have to wait minutes for their icebreakers to regen and they kill the boss. So I'm not a fan:p I've stopped pushing people down though as that usually leads to them picking the next cheese spot and doing even less or them just refusing to do anything.

If the adds down there are too much for you maybe you shouldn't go down there.

.... Ye the adds meant for three people and meant to not spawn constantly while also having to deal with a modifier that makes it harder to evade them was too much for me. Clearly my fault for going down there.
