Yet i met most of friends on destiny through random matchmaking in endgame activities. It is never a good idea to let a few.... undesirables... to ruin it for everyone else or yourself by taking away or ignoring a great tool for socializing. Sometimes it works as intended and other times... not so much. Just gotta ignore the small bits of crap to enjoy the wonderful parts of online gaming.
After a decade of online gaming, i have learned one universal truth. There are people you meet online that you wanna track down and beat them to an inch from death, spit in their face, and break every electronic they own while they watch squirming and writhing in pain and agony. However, they are not worth the effort to leave the comfortable AC, chair, with drinks and snacks. So just make them disappear with a few button presses and go about your way.

Yeah you are definitely right, and I'm honestly at times not much better. Due in part to what I said really, but I at least come in to play and never plan to be afk or anything. It's just so frequent that it's a bit more troubling.
