Have any atheists ever looked at a video of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly? Could that happen without intelligent design? How about a mountain?

How about evolution? With enough time that'll pretty much do the trick. Mountains are formed by the movement and collision of tectonic plates.

Mountains were formed by the tectonic plates. Maybe if you didn't have your head shoved up your ass you would understand that.

Yes, all of that could happen without God

Why, when nasty things pop up like Ebola or a new deadly strain of the flu, do we not see the Intelligent Design crowd running around claiming that these things are designed to kill us and we are doomed?
Because they are too busy begging real scientists that fully understand and can utilize the knowledge of evolution through natural selection to save them.
Lel so tru. Christian noobs git rekt by viruses

lol not really
-
Yes, yes, and yes.

1. It's called evolving/evolution 2. That's created at a destructive plate boundry at which two continental tectonic plates made of granite move towards due to convection currents in the mantle. Because they are both made of granite they are both of equal density causing neither to slip under the other. The only alternative is to go up forming fold mountains like himalayas, andes or alps.

Your clearly not seeing the point, it's the intelligence behind those functions is what he is discussing
-
Why would God bother to have a middleman then? Why didn't he just create stuff and leave it as it is.
-
Again not seeing the point
-
Which is?
-
There isn't a middle man, he's saying there is intelligence behind those functions, and you guys tell us to open our minds
-
I wouldn't say there's an intelligence behind mountains. It is a secondary byproduct of natural forces.

Edited by CB: 8/27/2015 10:56:31 AMStill not getting it, there is an intelligence behind those forces, it's like saying that whoever put that force in place was intelligent enough to create it
-
Prove that there is an intelligence behind them lol
-
I get what you believe, i just don't get why you think it was "put" there. What makes it "intelligent?" It's simply cause and effect. Tectonics plates colliding will cause mountains, sliding next to each other causes earthquakes. Why does it have to be part of a design? And to what end?
-
Lol yep
