.....come TTK, prove me wrong.
Its pretty much a PvE exclusive, you'll have to walk around firing your primary off and be reloading constantly, it takes up your exotic slot and you'll have to get like 250 glimmer for it to even be worth it. It also only has a CHANCE to drop glimmer and the second perk is actually a disadvantage since its taking away orbs you may want to save for recharging your super after you use it.
Probably the worst designed weapon/armour in the game.
ATS-Arachnid > Alchemist's Raiment.

How about give the warlocks more NEW exotics, they hardly have any!!!
-
I have it on my warlock. I can confirm-it sucks for glimmer farming

Edited by Pro: 8/26/2015 8:58:48 PMFalse, here's why. This will be a great exotic for PvE warlocks. I always play the warlock, and that means - during night falls especially- that i never use my super, unless the team wipes. So I can go a very long time on raids, NFs and weeklys with a full super. I think it's awesome that those orbs aren't useless anymore and can recharge my grenades and melees. The glimmer pick up is cool too. I mean is it as useful as the ram in PvE? Debatable. But It's better than purifier robes in PvE, better than claws of akakaksksks or whatever
-
lol, The Arachnid = useless Think of where the Raiment is useful: Most Sunsingers NEVER use their super unless they're dead. So (depending on how extreme a charge this is) using 2 orbs to charge a grenade would actually be pretty damn cool. Tied with a helmet to heal off of orb pick-ups (normally doesnt work whilst supercharged for obvious reasons) They're certainly no HoPF, but for the majority of Sunsinger warlocks, they'll actually get more use from a Raiment than a HoPF. They're certainly more useful than the Protocol. Best exotic ever? No. But it's far from the worst or even useless, I cant wait to get one to test it out :P Note: If it takes more than 3 orbs to charge a grenade 100% then the raiment is completely useless and is worst exotic ever.

While equipped, it also has a CHANCE to make other guardians point and laugh at you for wearing it.
-
I dunno the Titan exotics legs overall are worthless. "Hey guys imma go shoulder charge some wizards" Da faq.
-
90% of Titan Exotics are worse than that piece of armor.

Edited by Kuvnoz: 8/25/2015 11:13:32 PMOnce again reinforcing my thought that their best equipment ideas happened in year 1. "There's equipment coming in TTK that will replace your old gear because it's so much better." (paraphrasing) Is looking a lot more like "Well crap, the only way I can think to make the new stuff look good is to not allow their old weapons to carry forward. I know! Not only will we do that, but we will decrease their current values as well! It's not like the players have already leveled their equipment twice or anything...wait...they did...oh well! Let's roll with it!" Hell, I did not expect to roll with VoC for 10 years but how about an incentive that's not a kick in the junk to make it happen.
-
Am I the only that liked this exotic ?
-
Yeh what a waste this one is! Its only a chance of glimmer! Who will honestly run around looking for primary just for a chance of glimmer? Crazy! Whoever though of that should be sacked! Glimmer should be giving for everything you shoot
-
It might as well have been a pair of dirty overalls, because all it's for is farming. Next reveal for Warlocks will be garden gloves.
-
I said on another thread that it looked like they created the perk by drawing words from a hat. Useless and uncreative. It's an exotic that is clearly designed for FARMING. Give us good mechanics so we don't have to farm in the first place.
-
You don't need to reload to pick up ammo, it looks at your total count, not what you hold in reserve. I agree about the orbs though, if this becomes a trend to pick them up once your super is already full....yikes.
-
I agree. I'm not a fan of the cosmetics either.
-
the orb of light and abilities recharge is pretty good though...

Edited by wtw0987: 8/26/2015 3:07:19 AMJust use no land beyond, empty the ammo, kill some enemies with your special/heavy, rinse and repeat. Bungie just gave us Warlocks a "pocket edition" of a glimmer farm! Am I the only one who needs this exotic because I'm always low on glimmer and am too lazy to farm the cabal mission?! EDIT: AND DONT WEAR ANY ARMOR WITH MORE AMMO FOR SNIPER RIFLES PERKS
-
As a space magic loving warlock it pains me to admit this but in this round of reveals. Hunters for the win. The gloves look good and are going to make Nightstalker the new god class of pvp. All exotic aren't equal so first reveals are nothing to get bent out of shape about.
-
Exotics are meant to be situational. They aren't meant to be some god tier piece of armor. You see how many people complain about The Ram being over powered. Exotics shouldn't be like that. There needs to be numerous options for numerous activities so that everyone isn't just wearing the same piece for everything and not bothering to collect other gear.

To YOU.
-
Haha, didn't think any "new" item could ever top the uselessness of the arachnid helm!!!

No way bro. No Backup Plans are way worse. You have to kill with melee to proc. It only saves your life when you are fighting Thralls or Dregs.
-
Don't forget too no glimmer in raids
