Jerk or Justice? You decide!
Tell me Guardians ... Am I a jerk or did I get justice?
Just was running the weekly heroic with 2 others (they were together). I was running voidwalker and creating massive orbs with bad juju and obsidian mind to help my fireteam.
All going well until I get to the cliff at the Nexus. I stop on the cliff and begin to snipe the minotaurs and the other 2 guys push me off. I fall and die, they t-bag me and don't revive me right away.
They eventually revive me but then hide behind the pillar while I try to clear house. I die without the help. They t-bag me again.
I switch to sunsinger and gain my super. I then run right under the Nexus and die. I watch them as they try to start fighting from behind the pillar. Helpless, they both die. As he wipe counter hits 1 second, I resurrect run across the map to behind the pillar - and have a seat. I wait for both of them to depart.
1 sends me a nasty message - I responded that they shouldn't have been trolling in the weekly to start. I basically solo the boss as 2 others join and we finish up.
You be the judge! Am I a jerk or did I get justice?
*this is the first time ever I've had issues with randoms in the weekly heroic*
Edit 1: thanks for the support Guardians. Didn't expect this much discussion.
Edit 2: those saying I was camping of cheesing, thanks for your opinions. I think there's a difference between cheesing and strategical spots. Boss can still damage me and I have to fight a major Minotaur - to me that's not a cheese if I'm fighting a major, DPSing the boss and covering my fireteam. That's my opinion. But it's funny that people will say that's a cheese and it's terrible, then swing across the Crota bridge everyone lol
Edit 3: wow! I didn't expect this to be trending and to get this type of response! Thanks for the kind words Guardians. I know deep down that the overwhelming majority of this community is positive. I was just sharing a story from today and trying to participate in the community. Cheers!

1 ReplyYou're very fortunate to have run into these kinds of players once. One of the very few reasons I stay away from the Weekly Heroic is because of it matching me with people who will afk mid-game, or simply be afk from the very beginning. And yes, this is a constant thing with me and not a rare occurrence. Sure, I'll report them, but in the end I never know if that actually works.

That's the only time getting tbagged bothers me. During a strike, after being killed by the boss and before my team mate revives me. I mean... Wth?

6 RepliesI wholly approve of your methodology and am currently screaming FREEDOM in a man skirt and blue sharpie marker on my face. That aside could you please explain how this all works out as I am a noob to destiny (I got this game less then a month ago. By waiting to the 1 second time and resurrecting does that mean they get kicked out of your party as you're alive and they're dead and they go to orbit? Or is it cause you're on the opposite side they won't be able to get to you because of the re spawned adds. Thanks!

I'll revive you in the off chance you're blind enough to die and leave you in your own little bubble of annoyance. Those guys were idiots to try and troll when they aren't any better themselves. They totally deserved what they got

1 ReplyJustice, should've teabagged them back too. I has doing the heroic with 2 randoms earlier too. I was also sniping from up top and decided to jump down. The 2 randoms followed me and we ran to the right side behind the cube thing. We all shot at the nexus a bunch and it died. Yeah, that's kinda it, sorry if you were hoping for an amazing story, but nothing really interesting happened. :/

1 Replybollbog's Random Story: Vol 1. I was assisting a friend of mine, we'll call him [i]Mew[/i], do 25 strikes for an Exotic Weapon Bounty. When we join the Valus'Taruc strike, a Trialhard is the rando, he constantly attempts to kill us by running us over or pushing us into the enemies Line of sight. We got fed up with it until I had the greatest idea: invite him to the fireteam. Being the casual he is, he joined. The moment he loaded in I booted him. What a guy.

2 RepliesWhen my fireteam gets to the ledge, I always wait to see which method they want to use. However.... Let me use your post to once again bad mouth matchmaking. You by right are entitled to play how you want to play. If you want snipe adds off the ledge that's your business, because you're not accountable to anyone, and that accountability is what a fireteam needs for tougher battles. It ensures that when you go to play the more difficult game modes, you know that you must communicate with the other team members or face getting kick or abandoned.

1 ReplyThe only behaviour that infuriates me in weekly's is people sitting in the shrieker room for phogoth, other than that I'm always happy to let people run strikes the way they want to. It's childish to go killing the guys you're running with and then tbag them. I'm glad they were too useless to two man old mate sekrion, and top marks for getting them to quit haha. Justice all the way!
