“The last thing we wanted was for you to look at your favorite gun or helmet and decide that it had become obsolete… the time you invested in your stuff should be respected.”

Bungie remember this?
English
-
I think weapons should be left behind but I think with them introducing infusion, gear should be taken to year 2
-
So its okay that people who go flawless this month will not be able to take that weapon to year 2.
-
Dude we can still use our weapons in crucible because there aren't level advantages... The trials weapons will still be useful in crucible ( not trials or iron banner)
-
I am not excited to have my weapons for the weakest and most broken part of the game.
-
Okay it's an rpg(ish) that's what happens with rpg games the weapons become not as good and new and better weapons are put in place. You won't be whining about this once you play TTK
-
Edited by BestHandsMagee: 8/25/2015 8:56:30 PMHeres my problem. Almost every weapon released has been trash (outside of release day weapons). Its not like they have a history of coming up with great guns with DLCS, thats why everyone is still using old weapons.
-
Yea...
-
What s the point of playing until Sept 15th again. Anything I get will be useless in 3 weeks.
-
A quote from almost a year ago is no longer valid in my opinion... Things chance over time. The mindset they had for TDB and HOW might be long gone already.
-
Wasnt a year ago
-
-
And since when is there a time limit on promises? That promise doesnt say in the next six months or year ... it says the LAST thing meaning they intended for this quote/promise to last longer than 2 DLCS.
-
Like i said... times chance you cant expect them to handle on things said a almost a year ago...
-
More like 6 months, this was said when they screwed us over the first time (CE)
-
2014 is a year ago lol :D
-
Edited by BestHandsMagee: 8/25/2015 3:12:34 PMCE end came out in 2014 but the promise was made in 2015 because they made us re do everything
-
Even still. 1 year is a short time to go to your blow up plan Z. This game is supposed to last 10 years.
-
This is literally 1 DLC ago. Thats why we got Etheric light because of CE mess up.
-
So what has so drastically changed that Bungie had to do the LAST thing they wanted to do.
-
That's everyone's favorite quote now. Notice it's in reference to TDB, a few more months and that quote will be a year and three DLC's old.
-
Well thats what happens when you lie or you dont keep a promise.
-
Edited by KannibalKlown: 8/25/2015 2:25:49 PMI'm not defending Bungie per-se, but it's not really a lie. As someone said, things change. We change as well. Our behaviour, our complaints, our actions in games. Bungie has to adjust to keep up. I'm sure when GHorn was designed they didn't think it would become such a crutch and community-divider. Something said a year ago might no longer be valid or worth-while after a year of interacting with hundreds-of-thousands of people. My example is obviously hyperbole, but it's like your parents promising you all your life that they'll pay for you to go to Harvard. Cool! But then in your Junior year your parents both lose their jobs, the housing market tanks, the stock market wrecks their 401k, and a parent gets cancer. Suddenly they can't afford Harvard. You're upset for many reasons, but you can't say "they lied" if things changed so greatly.
-
And its more like your Girlfriend telling you she will love you forever, 2 DLCS later she is dating your best friend. Yea things changed but it is still a broken promise/lie.
-
I've reread the quote a couple times. And nowhere on it does it say "we promise". Thus, they didn't lie because they never made a promise in the first place
-
Edited by BestHandsMagee: 8/25/2015 3:03:51 PMWhat changed so greatly. The fact that they are not creative enough to make new weapons that will make us WANT to use them instead of forcing us.
