I doubt that people are ignorant of the similarities, it's just a big name franchise that is slowly dying because of the lack of innovative game mechanics. "Same shit different day" so to speak. They're taking mechanics from popular titles and adding to said mechanics to give the game a push forward. It's really just an attempt to revive activision's money maker. But having played the beta, I can say that it was a lot different than destiny and I personally enjoyed it in comparison to other call of duty titles because it seemed like a fresh change of pace.
