thorn and nechrochasm are affected directly by darkness. bad juju was created by a gaurdian.

I wouldn't say it's a failed attempt by any means, but bad juju might be considered more "botched" than the other 2 because it clearly uses an existing donor scout rifle while the other two are their own completely unique weapon model ( do murmur and the other legendary hive style weapons count as weapons of sorrow? )

weapons of sorrow are the weapons directly corrupted by darkness, smething to give that away is that both guns fire green projectiles (even though nechro is arc). the other hive themed weapons are probably just made after the hive to show that they're most effective against them.
