Atheists abandon all traces of logic when trying to formulate anti Christian arguments.
Atheists like to claim intellectual superiority, yet when attempting to make an argument against Christianity, they always fall short. While claiming to be the pinnacle of learned men, they lose all sense of logic, context, reading comprehension, and deductive reasoning when they erroneously create arguments in opposition to Christianity. If you want to reject God, so be it, but at least do it on the basis of what the bible actually teaches and not what you read on the internet.
Read, study, understand. Leave your pride and arrogance at the door. Context is a thing and its wonderful.

4 RepliesHaha, I love it! What you basically said was atheists are only allowed to dispute you within your belief system and your book. Do understand that's not how counter points work? A counter point introduces new different ideas to your argument. So your idea is explain to you how god doesn't exist only using "evidence" from your book where god exist. Logic? You think?

I'm getting tired of arguments like this. NEITHER OF THESE HAVE BEEN PROVEN WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT. Besides who cares who believes what? Religion, true or untrue, was founded on a principle that may be considered noble, even though it is an elaborate lie, or not. What I'm referring to is that people banded together under a common belief, believing in a god, gave not one person, but entire civilizations hope in dark times. So regardless of what you think about others' beliefs. Or which philosophy is true, those people were better for it, one way or another. SO JUST STOP BICKERING!!!

14 RepliesI think the bible is a great book. It has some wonderful moral teachings but it should not be regarded as historically accurate or completely factual. There are discrepancies and inconsistencies throughout it. It was written by man and man is fallible. The bible is just a collection of allegorical moral stories that people and groups throughout history have used to their own groups interpretation. Now, I can't say that the bible is proof that God exists, since being written by man, tends to the notion that man created God.

It makes you an ignorant prick like the asses who show up on my porch at 9am on a Sunday telling me why I should choose there "god" or "Jahova" instead of my previously chosen one. Don't be an ass, don't go seeking out arguments on religion otherwise you're no better than the asshole who put us into the dark ages... which is why I am atheist.

I was fine with your previous religious threads before because they weren't rude and seemed to focus on self improvement, like the one that said "All is vanity and striving after wind." That post was good. But now your just being annoying. There are enough threads on these found that are about atheists versus Christians or some other religious group, so don't make another. I'm not trying to be rude, but you're better than this, Gr0ms. If all is truly vanity and striving after wind, then how can you hope to do anything with this post? Anything you achieve with it is vanity, it has no meaning or value in the long run.
