Sup? What is in your opinion the best super in all of destiny?
I say nova bomb from warlocks. Loads of damage in one burst. Plus three ways to deliver it.
Shatter doesn't give you much range, but it's good for dealing damage in a large area
Vortex isn't as widespread as shatter, but you get more range, and it just might be the best version of nova bomb available, (don't forget the additional DOT from the vortex effect)
Lance gives nova bomb so much range that gravity doesn't affect it. However the blast radius is also the smallest, and it's actually very easy to miss your shot if you're not accurate.
So that's me and my probably biased opinion on why I think nova bombs are the best super ever.
So which super do you like the most? Feel free to discuss, debate, whatever you like.
Edit: nice, a good bunch of replies. Any of you guys think that the new subclass supers might outclass the current ones in place? I think it's possible. Especially the new sunbreaker Titan subclass. Ranged and melee attacks in a timer? Sounds incredibly powerful by itself. Can't imagine what the other skills will do to it.

For PvE, the second unlockable super is superior, and vice versa for PvP.
-
Sunsinger by far
-
By far, warlock supers are the best for pvp (especially trials). That along with firebolt grenades make them superior in team settings. Followed by a tie with gunslinger and fist of havoc. Gunslinger is another shutdown super which can rack up kills and spit out orbs pretty good (maybe slightly better than FOH). Followed by the worst supers blade dance and defensive shield. The reason I place blade dance so low is because it can easily be shut down by every other ult besides defensive shield (but can still be shutdown by defensive shield/grenade if the titan is good with timing). If the player has been killing people early, it's excellent for increasing tempo in a game, but if you are behind vs any of the above, the second you pop blade dance, you can get fisted, Nova'd, golden gunned before even getting close.

Nova and fist for pvp shuts down supers
-
Nova Bomb. Use shatter with tracking.
-
Best is prob radiance
-
I agree with you voidwalker class is my best class. Its consistent i know that if i pop my super whatever i was looking to destroy is gone. With bladedancer i end up killing maybe two or three guys but i always end up in the middle of two guys when it ends. With fist of panic if i missed anyone im dead because it takes a month for me to realize that im in battle and i need to get my gun up and start firing. Gunslinger is a close second.
-
Bladedancer for sure
-
Golden gun hands down. It gives the most damage to a single target (celestial nighthawk) but allows damage to be delivered to four targets that you choose (achlyophage symbiote) in addition to roaming while gg is active. It's easily the most versatile. But then again ALL supers have their weaknesses and strong points

Edited by Ascent_Cobra: 8/24/2015 3:05:53 AMPVP- Golden gun PVE- Nighthawk golden gun or weapons bubble. I consider them equal.
-
Nova bomb is good, but I suck so much with it. It's very easy to miss a target, and let's not forget about floating in front of a wall or hitting a ceiling when you cast it.
-
Arc Blade if you can use it right
-
Pvp: FoP PvE: Radiance
-
Pvp golden gun Pve golden gun w/ celestial nighthawk
-
Nova bomb all the way. There is nothing more satisfactory than a triple loopshot to the heavy and getting space magics one after another!
-
Golden gun is the best long ranged super. Fist of Havoc is the best short ranged super. Take your pick.
-
Ward of dawn + saint 14 when used properly and the right class perks can single handedly turn the tide on a control match. Second would be the Nothing manicles +shatter nova bomb with bloom high discipline warlock can wreck havok all day
-
I'm partial to Golden Gun. I love using Keyhole to burn more than one target at a time.
-
How could gravity effect nova bomb when void is space and time itself? Lol the Nova bomb should always be able to fly as quick and far as I want if this game was logical. The again, there is gravity on the moon lol
-
Bubble Titan helps turn more PvP games around, in my opinion. Every super can be used to gain momentum in generating orbs for your team to generate more orbs with, however. Orbs for life!! My opinion is still Ward of Dawn!
-
Sunsingers radiance, extremely versatile. Want to help your fireteam get their abilities quicker? You can become a walking tank, or self res. Applicable in all avenues of destiny imo.
-
I like the Titan Bubble paired with Helm of Saint. Not an offensive power, but it makes up for it in its ability to blind enemies and give a break from incoming damage at the same time. Nothing like a bunch of targets running into the bubble and suddenly blindly walking around as shotguns and melee take them out.

As powerful as Nova Bomb is I feel like Radiance is more universally useful. It lasts longer and can be used to ensure you win a certain fight. Although its not quite as good against groups it can still destroy them in 2 grenades. Paired with the Ram it also gives you a fighting chance against all other supers. The best part is that you can still use your weapons such as tlw or thorn.

I really like the Defenders super. It is the only subclass that I use for both PvE and PvP. Armour of light is useful in its own way, I might use it on Omnigul nightfall when we get to the hive. Other than that its for capturing B on control. Blessing I generally use in PvE. Its the most usefull out of the three. No one could say no to extra shields right? Weapons I use if I want to use a pulse and a sniper, OHK to the body is what I want ;). Also if I want to blaze through strikes with Iron Harvest + Ruin wings + Gjallarhorn.

I'm partial to nova bomb since I only play as a warlock But hunter blade dancer is clutch. I often see a guy clear the entire opposing team from crucible with that. Titan hulk smash just looks like fun. Like a way to burn off aggression towards your boss or something. HULK SMASH!
