But here's a real one.
It was during lunch and I was sitting at my table with my friends talking about the usual stuff. When I noticed a few attractive girls from another table were staring me down. They'd occasionally smile and lean in to talk to each other while I told my friends the some of them seem to be checkin' me out. They told me to go over to their table and say something to them but I figured there was no possible way in the world that they were staring at me in "that" way. I literally found the concept of it to be laughable. But they just continued to do it. They eventually smiled and waved at me, so I finally did he same back.
I was about to head over and see what was what at that table when another girl walked behind me and was heading to their table. As she walked by, she whispered "They weren't looking at you, idiot." So for about 5-10 minutes, I looked stupid by smiling at them and waving at them, readying to throw myself to the wolves when they were actually laughing at be girl behind me, and probably me as well since I looked like an idiot.
Confidence? Ha, sorry bro I don't have any. Try next door.
