I quit months ago. Every time I decide to indulge an drink a 12 oz can, I can't finish it. It's disgusting and waaay to sweet. But it's a great life choice. Stick with it.
As for alternatives. I almost only drink water. I drink coffee, tea, and juice. Even low sugar Gatorade is too sweet.

Certain kinds won't make me sick, like I'll have the occasionally Sprite or 7-Up (once or twice a year by now), but nothing like Pepsi, Coka Cola, or Mtn. Dew any more.
