Here's Another Way to Put It..

I've been reading about TTK a lot lately- I think everyone is right now with how close we are to launch. But something lingers in the back of my head. I can't help but wonder about this. All that gear being made obsolete? All that gear not being taken forward with us? Do you realize people designed that gear? People spent time and effort creating that gear, play-testing some of it (probably not much, but I'm sure it happened at some point no matter how inadequate it was), etc..., I'm just really curious what all those designers have to say about the fact that most- if not all- Year One gear they developed, designed and released is now never going to be seen again. The work they put in was for nothing but a year or less of enjoyment. The weapons they created, the armor they created, will never be appreciated again now simply because Bungievision decided that they don't want us using that good stuff anymore. And, more important than the guns and armor, what about the frickin raids? Don't even get me started on how much those things must've cost to test, design, and create in general because good god those must've been expensive as hell. Both in time and money. I just, I don't understand it. How can they be okay with just never letting players see that stuff again? The stuff they put time and effort into? The stuff they created for us? The stuff they probably sat around working on for hours on end? And.. If everyone at Bungie is actually okay with this.. Then how much passion are they actually putting into the game?
