I agree and disagree with this post. At the same time no rpg lets you carry good equiptment from a prior expansion to the next one. It would ruin the fun of finding better loot. I feel like its been a year and i had plenty of fun with my fatebringer and ready to move on.
On the other side i respect and understand that we suffered for that gear. Raids are tough. Challenges and rng we had to face to get these. Not only that but exotics take on average a week worth of grinding bounties unless you no lifed it. So I understand the emotional connection people have torwards these weapons.
I feel bungie is in a tight spot. I propose a compromise of bringing exotics forward but letting legendarys fall. Do we really want TTK to be like HoW with nothing being worth going after. Exotics are a much bigger time investment.
Or another propostion. Exotics and legendaries have to be easier to upgrade. The less time investment you make these new weapons, the faster people can enjoy there weapons. It also means less attatchment amongst players. Currectly with your grindy model people are getting too invest in building up there weapons and when you take that away. Resentment sets in.
Trying to bring constructive criticism outside angry rant, mad, curse, hate bungie, dumb.
