Because everything changes with time - either you change with it or you get left behind. Just like in life, new, better and improved things come out to replace its predecessor ( just like weapons in the military ) sure it's cool to use them but when things get hairy you want the latest and greatest to give you an edge. So keep the gjally and break it out when you feel nostalgic ... But evolve .... It's been going on since time began
