So get this you need help on a check point for a raid. You hit up LFG for help and you are pretty specific about what type of help you need. You get a good few responses for invites. You get the fire team together and you get ready to bust out the cp. One of the particular players you just invited suddenly leaves or in one personal experience says:" I would like thank you for this cp" and then leaves the fire team right before the cp starts. You have just been scammed for a check point for some loser who didn't want to work his way through or had any interest/intention of helping you.
Your reaction may vary in this situation, you may send hostile messages to the creep to show frustration and annoyance for him taking a spot that could have went to someone more deserving and helpful. You might block and report the jerk for scamming you and wasting your time.
I know there are many of you here that suffered through this or had this happened to you like myself( this happened to me on separate occasions on the Xbone and PS4) and many of you hate the bastards that do it. My biggest question is is there anyway to prevent this or what do you do to prevent it from happening to you and what action is taken when it does happen to you?

You make me want to start playing destiny again just to steal checkpoints, man that was a lot of fun,

If they got in after the checkpoint started they need the team to wipe to get the checkpoint themselves.

Edited by ZionFury7: 8/21/2015 3:10:35 PMI detest LFG with a passion. I've built a close knit clan base and friends list to where I don't need that site which is full of douche bags and the lowest forms of unintelligent life. Half the jokers on that site dont even have the right weapons and often lie about their experience with raids. My recommendation, make a minimum of 50 people in your friends list that you can rely on.

I have joined for the sole intention of getting a checkpoint but I will tell them I want it and will switch characters and help them finish not to be a dick
-
I hate when people do that but there is no way of stopping them other than just play when your friends get on
-
Or, you could just find another person? If I want a checkpoint, Im just gonna join, force a wipe, and leave.

[/quote] This isn't supposed to work. In order to obtain the checkpoint, they need to at least wipe once else they won't obtain it. In the end, they are the ones getting shafted and you win!
