After waking up in the morning and got ready for the day, I see a notification that there was an update on Destiny 2.0. I read it and was shocked, yet amazed by their massive changes.
Meanwhile, in the forums, there are so many damn people raging about their "hard-earned" exotics that should be transferred to Year 2, which I understand because I would like that too - We did all work insanely hard and put so much time on getting them, although, Jesus Christ, leaving the game just for that simple rant about not getting Gjallarhorn and having RNG not on your side, and then Xûr selling it and everyone is now feeling bad, is not acceptable. Like, why are most of the people on their period all of a sudden? So many people fear the change of certain things - This just reflects your fear of changes in life.
Seriously guys, changes like these shouldn't affect you in the slightest even in the emotional stage. You may have hard-earned these things, but remember it's not going to last forever.
Think of it this way: You got yourself a car and you loved it to bits. Eventually that car's lifespan would run out. Even though you've had so many road trips and memories with that car, it's gonna need letting go some day. You'd need a replacement, but you don't know what your replacement would be yet.
The fact is that, you may be used to using your weapons for a certain time now, much akin to a routine, let's say, but face these changes - Nothing lasts forever.
Just try something new!

Edited by Foxy: 8/21/2015 11:34:04 AMYou are right. I got myself Destiny and I liked the way where it was going. Eventually Bungie released information that contradicts everything they have said about this game (becoming "legend", bringing a character with yourself through years-his face or what? and "telling stories" about that awesome gear you got) and thus changing the whole direction where this game is going. And I know I need a replacement because this is not a game I´m going to invest my time into. I´m trying some new games. But not Destiny.

Oh my god if I have to listen to one more idiot rant about people being afraid of change....... Its not about change, I welcome new weapons and new experiences in Destiny, but you don't have to take away the old to bring in new, we can have both!

Edited by Loyalpayer: 8/21/2015 10:57:04 AMAlways chuckle to myself at people complaining about people complaining.

stay calm and throw money at the screen

It's called period synchronization

To me it just doesn't make sense because they aren't adding that much new content. They are adding a handful of exotics for a few hours worth of new endgame content. It would make sense to make all the Destiny stuff irrelevant when Destiny 2 comes out. I'm not quitting but I'll probably skip TTK and just go to Destiny 2. It'll probably be out in 6 months and I'll be on the exact same footing as someone who grinded for 6 months straight...

People are scared of change. Hopefully one these new weapons won't become the new Gjallarhorn, that would sort of make me upset. ~TheGreatNike

OK now go through every sentence you just mentioned with the car metaphor and replace the word car with "year one players" and that's what bungie thinks of you
-
I just wish I could keep my P&T and Plan C because of the fun factor.
-
Wakes up and checks destiny. Lmao I at least wait til I get to work.
-
I'm fine with trying new things, that's what makes things fun
-
I'm excited for TTK, I don't know about the rest of you
-
why would anybodies complaint about anything here bother anyone ? real life problems are no joke cartoon problems and avatars crying cartoon tears are a joke Destiny is a cartoon frying pans and sticks of dynomite in a ducks mouth this stuff is hilarious

Finally, I find someone on here with some sense! The amount of people ranting is ridiculous!
-
People are just very close minded
-
Time goes into receiving exotics but not effort, destiny can be played in a semi unconscious state. For what I can see, effort is only needed when reaching the lighthouse (the gifted are excused) and completing a raid before you have reached the level attack/defence of the enemy.
-
Um people do maintain their cars to run like new and last longer than you'd think. Lol kind of a bad example to use...

*a wild guardian with common sense has appeared!* but im glad theres a few people out there with this type of mindset, im happy old weapons are getting left behind, not useless! just left behind
