It shouldn't be our job as players to tell other players stuff they should already know. The kid said he was 'highly skilled' and had maxed weapons and yet just stood there and he wasn't afk, he used his self res so it was obvious he was there for some good part of the whole thing and then becomes magically active when it comes to reward time.
That is the definition of a leech to expect reward from the effort of other people. Sure maybe they should have done something sooner but I think it was good to show he had no intention of helping and expected to get rewarded for his efforts or lack thereof. So these guys decided to give the harsh lesson by playing along until the end, honestly serves the guy right and maybe a lesson that not everyone is going to put up with their nonsense.
They got their rewards and the leech gets nothing for his lack of effort. I don't see anything wrong with it and just gives the message of contribute if you want to get rewarded.

I completely agree with you. If anything, the OP bent over backwards to accommodate the player and gave him every chance available.
