If memory serves me right I bought Destiny a few days past release. My shortly into my first week in, after knowing beyond a doubt that I would be running scout rifles with my hunter for the duration, I got my first exotic weapon bounty. I'm not really into looking up all the answers and like to discover on my own so I chose whichever sounded interesting and before long I had my first exotic weapon. The Thorn. I fell in love with it. I used it for EVERYTHING. Even though everyone I played with griped constantly how I was wasting their time dragging that "useless" gun into the Vault. I remember when it got the MUCH needed magazine boost. Or how nobody had anything to say about me using it in multiplayer for MONTHS (even though 9 months ago I was still killing people the exact same way with it). I remember when everyone was complaining for months about how it was "too hard" to get. I even remember when my friend who struggles the most with multiplayer managed to get theirs. I've even seen a 3D printed one someone was carrying at a convention this year (the coolest thing ever). As far as the "nerf" goes, I'm not excessively worried. If the burn actually stacks and lasts instead of how its always weirdly ran out just as soon as I needed to reload that will be a much needed fix. My main concern, and what I've made this post for. Was that I noticed that the Thorn, In all of its glory (and its backstory) will not be getting a year 2 upgrade. What is written can't really be all for the Thorn can it? Is this its whole story? I feel its a waste to leave it behind like this. I don't plan to let MY story with the Thorn end here. I just hope there is some kind of future for it.
