Hello Bungie, I know you're probably sick and tired of hearing about this but I have another Blacksmith shader issue.
I pre ordered CoD AW and it looked like the code on the receipt was a Bungie code. I tried. The first number was a "1" and it was instantly rejected. I went back to GameStop and they said it was out of their hands and it should be a Microsoft 25 digit code.
I looked all over my receipts and had them reprint my pre order and purchase receipts and I saw no codes.
I called Microsoft and after a long drawn out conversation they gave me a code. When I put the code in, it said it was already redeemed.
I spent a very long time on the phone with Microsoft again and this time they decided it wasn't there problem, it is Activision's problem.
( I forgot to mention, this all stems back many months ago but I have recently been itching to get this resolved. )
So Bungie, I ask you please, is there a way I can send you my receipts, prove that I really am supposed to be a legitimate recipient of the Blacksmith shader and finally get a code that works?
Thanks in advance,
---Chingas---

I can help

Any word Bungie Help?

The codes distributed for CoD:AW preorders, were not Bungie codes, they were console codes. If you have a 25 digit code, it is an Xbox code. A 12 digit code, is for Playstation. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12131 Code distribution was the responsibility of the retailer. Unfortunately, you will have to work with the retailer for any issues with your preorder code.

Bump for Bungie Help

I'm not sure what the current wait time is supposed to be so I guess I'll keep replying until Bungie replies. This is the only form of Help that Bungie currently offers, correct?

Bunngie cannot give you a code as it was GameStop and Activision who did the promotion. You would have to contact GameStop through their customer support, but they will only give you the code you were meant to get. Considering you have that code they will tell you that you need contact the manufacturers for a working code. Basically it is a cat and mouse hunt. I know this because I'm in the same position. Never got my code, emailed GameStop who eventually gave me my code. I entered the code on my Xbox and it says it was already used. Messages GameStop back and that's when they told me they don't have codes to give away and I'd need to contact the manufacture which in this case is Activision. Activision have no support line for destiny. So I gave up and advise you do the same.

Edited by catrodsan: 8/20/2015 10:36:52 PMThey can't do anything as that was a promotion with Gamestop and if it was Gamestop mistake, no one is liable but them
