Upgraded Exotic Versions? So I have to relevel the same gun in order to make it useful again??

Doubtful. They didn't do that with how. Doubt they'll do it again. They learned that lesson with Dark below and the xur upgrading.
-
No you don't. You can still use year one exotics. But year two will have better perks.
-
But the old ones are garbage compared to the new ones...so I have to relevel the new one.
-
No. ...you don't. My 365 damage ice breaker will be a fully upgraded 280 light once taken king drops. I won't have to do crap to it. If I got a new ice breaker during a nightfall after the taken king drops, then yeah I'll have to upgrade it like I always would.....
-
So basically you´re releveling the Icebreaker...
-
Are you some kind of stupid?

Edited by TeddyBundy: 8/19/2015 8:43:09 PMI think you are...because you just underlined what I´ve said before: You need to relevel the new old exotics. If you want a top tier Suros, you have to get the new one and level it because the 2.0 Version is obviously better than the 1.0 one.
-
That's a new exotic in essence, so NO, you are not releveling! The only similarities between year one and year two versions is the exotic perk and the looks of it. They both have different perks and are both viable.
-
If it´s a different gun, why give it the same name? If it´s not better, why implement it at all?
-
The perks will possibly be better and it's a year two version so yeah suros is still a suros. Just think of it as having a different roll.
-
The damage is different, but the year 2 versions will already have the name sakes perk already unlocked. IE truth will have it's super good tracking perk unlocked so you will only be upgrading it for the other new perks. Really it's better to look at them as new upgraded versions of the weapon rather than the same weapon you had.

Edited by dhnkc: 8/19/2015 8:12:53 PM
the same gun
Did you watch he stream? If not. These old upgraded versions of exotics are different. Have different perk sets. Those are not THE SAME.
-
As in, Suros might not have focused fire?
-
Suros has focused fire, but that can be changed out of a perk like thunderlord's where the fire rate increases the longer you shoot.

Edited by gcw0068: 8/19/2015 9:38:28 PMSo there'd be no point to keeping a second Unleveled suros...? /:
-
Pretty much
-
If I want my Gjallarhorn to stay top tier, I have to relevel the new Version. It´s still Gjallarhorn.
-
Dude. Watch the stream or check facts before commenting. Ghorn is not upgradeable to year two. Only some exotics are and would you believe it, ghorn isn't one of them.
-
Then change it to Suros Regime, dude.
-
Comment was re your ghorn comment below. Not sure why it posted further up your chain ... But re Suros. Would you rather either they made you get a new version by RNG or didn't carry Suros forward at all? Relevelling seems a small price to pay.
-
It´s just a little trick to extend the playtime, that´s all. I have a fully upgraded Suros. Why do they have to make a second Suros Regime which is better than the old one? Of course I want the new one and dismantle the old one...which means I have to relevel it.
-
That I agree with. But I'd still rather that than HoW quality weapons. At least then it's my choice if I choose to grind and level it up.
