I'm almost certain I'm not the only person in these forums who was sitting here patiently waiting to hear WTF they were planning with Year 1 Exotics ONLY to be shit upon over some stupid Fuking chants of "MOAR VAULT SPACE" ... UN-FUKIN-BELIEVABLE
with that said, Bungie owes all of us a greater explanation of what the plan is for ALL year 1 exotic weapons. As of now there is mass hysteria across the innerwebz that "only certain year 1 exotics" will remain useful in year 2 and I believe it's Bungies job to yet again clean up a mess that they created with their ill planned shit show they put on today.
for fuk sake Bungie ... oh but hey, we get MOAR VAULT SPACE!!! YAAAAAAAAAY
EDIT - Seems pretty split obviously! Of course you have the masters of english and verbal comprehension who understand everything that wasn't said through some subliminal type of telepathy mumbo jumbo ... and then you have those that agree that bungie yet again pulled a Russell Wilson and threw a interception when he could of handed it to beast mode and won the game! It's quite simple ... yes bungie doesn't technically "OWE" me anything but if they want to save face amongst an already outraged community, they better bring Beast Mode into the game and score a fukin TD!

I have been summoned

Tons of articles have said that only some year one exotics are coming forward. They said that it the stream. There isn't any confusion you just want there to be
-
Look at it this way. ALL of the "special snowflakes" are about to melt. Unfortunately, there is another blizzard being predicted......
-
$40 dollars gets you a new rainbow ball to kick around at the tower.
-
And if they had handed to ball to beast mode and failed to score you'd bitch that they should have done something else.
-
Bungie doesn't owe u sh*t
-
I feel like they just want us to use new weapons. They don't want people to use the same gun for 5 years. That would actually make the game garbage. I think they will create new guns and remake old ones every year (kind of like a reprint in MTG). So we might see a new gjallarhorn in year 4 or 5. The same goes for other exotics and legendaries. Who's to say 6 years from now we won't get a vex raid that can drop us a year 6 fatebringer. This is just my opinion though.
-
They have "no time to explain"
-
Y1 exotics still do 97% damage. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/148152452/0/0

Bungie doesn't OWE us anything
-
Yes, there are tons of people who love to argue semantics, and I'm one of them. That being said. Yes, we all want answers on various things, but I think Bungie feels that part of the magic, that is Destiny, is that self discovery of things. They have two more live streams coming up as well that could shed more light (no pun intended) on the issues. If you love the game or at least enjoy it then you will know soon enough, and if you don't then maybe it's time to play something else for a while.
-
Just play the game in a month and you'll know everything that's in it. These web casts aren't mandatory, it's a nice gesture for the players to find out stuff upcoming. They don't owe you any sort of explanation. Get over yourself

Edited by Deadlyknights79: 8/21/2015 12:40:47 AMHere is an idea.... Re-post this and drop the vulgarity and use constructive feedback ...just saying, it helps Edit:Just read this one and its the same question, but I would bet it has a better chance of getting answered https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/148084075/0/0 Edit: Oh and look at that...Cosmo did respond to the post that gave a little thought into HOW they asked
-
They don't have time to explain....
-
You got alot today. Be grateful.
-
They explained it..... All of it. What the blueprint does is it lets u get exotics you have already found. Also it gives us the upgrade ttk version. All the exotics that aren't moved over could still possible be moved over. Also you can still upgrade exotics weapons attack just like the Scott rifle they did. Because if you look at the upgrade symbol for damage on the banshee Scott rifle it has the same symbol on the year 2 sours

I think you just raged while watching the stream and didn't pay attention. Hmmmmm?

Edited by loonigus: 8/20/2015 12:39:31 PMBungie aint owing us shit for a product we havent even recieved yet m8.
-
My understanding was - All exotic guns and armour can hit the new max level. Certain exotic guns and armour have now been given additional perks. That's basically it. Fairly easy to understand.

Edited by X SkeletonCandy: 8/19/2015 10:55:58 PMCertain Year 1 exotics are getting a Year 2 version: new model (Kinda), new perks, higher base damage, ect The Year 1 exotics that don't get a Year 2 version will STILL BE VIABLE. They made that abundantly clear: you sacrifice other weapons to your preferred Year 1 exotic to make it more powerful. Gjallarhorn? Still good, sacrifice weapons. Thorn? Still good, sacrifice weapons. Ice Breaker? Still good, sacrifice weapons. They made this really, really clear, but so many people immediately ran to the forums to complain about it before they finished explaining how it works. EDIT: If you recall back to when Weapon Balance 2.0 was announced, Hard Light is getting a crap ton of buffs. Why buff a gun that's going to be, "useless," in a month? Because it's not going to be useless. It's just not getting a new paint job, like SUROS Regime or Hawkmoon.
-
You will likely be able to ascend existing exotics that don't have a year two version. Probably with exotic shards of infusing. But only certain guns will have a year two version with upgraded perks.
-
It would be great if they would tell us specifically what will get 2.0 blueprints. Not "some exotics".
-
It got explained better in the Weekly Update. Bungie and their reps just plain do not know how to talk to people or explain things. They seem to have mastered the language of "Newspeak". We shall see if any Guardians understand this reference...
-
why are people so impatient? this was the first reveal of several, the amount of info they are allowed to put out is limited. between the next few reveals and in just a few weeks with the release, all questions will be answered.
-
Ok um DID YOU SEE THE HOLE THING
-
i feel the same way i actually do not care about legendary weapons but exotics were somthing i feel should always around so hopfully we get to upgrade them all
