Hunters and Warlocks both rely on strategy and knowledge in their battles (That is the characters mentioned in grimiore) The rivalry has gone on for some time before the example of the Ahamkara, but thats where I read about it first. Basically the Warlocks like to boast about what they find and show off, acting like they are the best of the best, but the moment a hunter sets out to do something similiar they succeed (Ahamkara case)
Whats truely enjoyable about this rivalry is that people read it in the grimiore and put it into practice, Bungie effectivly made a rivalry.

I really thought it was funny that they made a lore of the different classes arguing who's better. And the players unintentionally confirmed that this is what is going on. It's great. The egos fly everywhere.

Put many defender titans in a crucible match and watch how nothing exept a fist of havok can wreck the bubble city. Titan > everything

Bladedancer's shock wave, over penetrating golden gun, Nova bomb and warlock solar grenade all do the trick.

Armor of light.. You guys are really underestimating 6 bubbles

The bladedancer is no problem with the shock wave itll kill everyone in it in a second flat, armor of light doesnt help much. Golden Gun over penetrating just as simple. Nova bomb with the vortex, simple just has to run in the bubble while youre all busy using them. Solar grenade would maybe also need Radiance while throwing them for multiple grenades.

Guys... 6 bubbles constantly getting put up.. Grenades dont penetrate bubbles.. And when you put up Bubbles you regen health..

A hunter can send two shock waves back to back fast enough to stop the bubble. Besides a simple Felwinter's can kill someone with over shields

Armor + blessings..understand the overpower. You never hear people complaining about 6 hunters or warlocks in iron banner. Its always 6 bubble titans people complain about.

Nope Ive been around for quiet some time, all I see is Final round, Felwinters, blink shotgun, shoulder charge and thorn.
